What we process, in plain language
You can browse WipeLab without an account. The combat data shown is public information from Warcraft Logs about in-game characters, not about you as a website visitor.
Browsing (no account)
Your IP address is processed transiently in server memory for rate limiting and is not written to a database. Your analysis settings (death gate, score weights, avoidable selections) are stored in your browser's localStorage and never leave your device. We set no tracking or advertising cookies.
If you sign in with Discord
We store the account data Discord provides for authentication: your Discord display name, email address, and avatar, plus a session cookie to keep you signed in. We use this solely to operate your account (e.g. permitting new guild analyses). We do not post to Discord on your behalf and do not access your servers or messages.
Error monitoring
When our error monitoring (Sentry) is enabled, reports about crashes may include your IP address, browser type, and the page involved. This is used only to fix bugs.
In-game character data
Progression statistics reference in-game character names from publicly logged combat data, as is standard across World of Warcraft community sites (Warcraft Logs, Raider.IO, and similar). If a log shouldn't be public, the guild controls its visibility on Warcraft Logs; unlisting it there removes it from future analyses here.
What we don't do
We do not sell personal data, run ads, or share data with third parties beyond the infrastructure that runs the site (hosting, database, error monitoring).
